(source: Coffee Oasis e-announcement, 14 July 2021.)
When: July 24 at Crossroads Neighborhood Church at 2pm.
“You are invited to join us in celebrating the life of David O. Frederick, The Coffee Oasis Executive Director Emeritus, on July 24 at Crossroads Neighborhood Church at 2pm.
“After a 2 ½ year battle with cancer, Dave went to be with Jesus on July 3, 2021.
“In 1997, Dave and Cindy, purchased The Coffee Oasis. Ironically enough, Dave was not a coffee drinker, but it seemed like the perfect place to be a base for outreach and to welcome the community. Now, 24 years later, what was a small family endeavor has become a place of refuge and help for hurting youth and a place for good coffee and food for the community. Dave was truly a visionary who went all out in everything he did. He was passionate to show Jesus to everyone he met. In his last days, Dave would say, ‘I did it all for Jesus.’ This simple phrase sums up Dave’s life.”
